Save Angels: From Charity Marathon to 5K Run for Neonatal Care
How NUDN Women's Club organized a charity marathon and a 5K run to donate life-saving medical equipment to a children's hospital in Mongolia.

As part of our commitment to giving back, NUDN organized theSave Angelsinitiative during 2024–2025 — a multi-event fundraising effort to donate aphototherapy device worth $750to the Neonatal Department of the Mother and Infant Hospital in Mongolia.

The Charity Marathon
We had a total of31 people participate, including adults, children, and virtual runners. We prepared t-shirts, medals, water, coffee, and light snacks for all participants.

Run for a Cause: 5K Charity Run

OnSaturday, May 24, 2025 at 9:00 AM, we continued the Save Angels mission with aRun for a Cause: 5K Charity Runat beautiful Glencoe Beach, Illinois — co-organized withKhadaan Cosmetics.
Families, friends, and community members laced up their shoes and came together for a fun, run-at-your-own-pace 5K along the lakefront. The energy was incredible — from the youngest runners to those walking side by side, everyone showed up with heart. All proceeds went directly toward purchasing life-saving medical equipment for infants in need at children's hospitals in Mongolia.

The course followed the beautiful lakefront at Glencoe Beach — a scenic, family-friendly route that welcomed runners of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you ran, jogged, or walked, every step counted toward the cause.

The Impact
The phototherapy device helps treat newborns with jaundice — a common but potentially dangerous condition. By donating this equipment, NUDN directly contributed to saving young lives in Mongolia.

This initiative was part of the Save Angels project — empowering precious beginnings in Mongolia. Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported this cause. We ran with heart. We ran with purpose.
